What is gospel foundations class?
Too often in church, we settle for an exhausting, rules-based religion that says, "I obey, therefore I am loved," when Jesus teaches us to say, "I am loved, therefore I obey." At The Exchange Church, our aim is to teach gospel fluency by applying the depth and breadth of this truth to every area of our lives. Join us as we discover how a Christ-centered identity leads to a life of true contentment and flourishing.
This class’s aim is to teach a holistic gospel-centered discipleship that includes gospel-fueled worship, gospel-empowered community, and gospel-driven multiplication. The class is also a prerequisite for membership at the Exchange Church.
How long is the class?
The class lasts for four weeks (one 60-90 minute session each week). The time and date for each class is tailored to the schedules of those who sign up.
How often is the class offered?
Classes are offered in the Fall and Spring.
Do I have to become a member once I take the class?
Of course, not! The class is simply offered as a way to learn more about God, gospel centered discipleship, and the Exchange church. There is no commitment (or even intent to commit) required to attend the class. At the end of the class, participants are given the option to continue the process of membership should they desire to do so.
