"The team was never made to be a focal point. Pastor Kyle merely absorbed us into his schedule, kept the focus on the Gospel, and exposed us to a glimpse of what his daily life as a missionary involved."
"It was exciting to think of the ways that God could and will work for His glory, to even think about the potential for an entire city to turn to Him."
"I was reminded of Isaiah 6 when God asked “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” and Pastor Kyle was imitating Isaiah’s response, “Here I am! Send me,” by living in Mexico and doing his best to share His love with these people in Mexico."
"After experiencing my week with the Mexico team, I wanted to live differently in light of what God taught me on this trip by living in the truth of God."
"He posed a hypothetical question: 'How can I build a home for myself when my friends don't even have an adequate place to rest their head? If I ignore these needs of my neighbors, am I really loving others as I love myself?'"
"I felt humbled because God showed me again that His plan and His ways far outweigh ours. God did not have to show us where the funds went, but He is so gracious to allow us to partake in His kingdom and to witness how greatly the Spirit is moving in Mexico."
"We did all of the things that would have happened regardless of whether our team would have been there. Jesus was reminding me that the Gospel is walking with all of these people, spending time with them, doing everyday activities with them."
